Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass CDL written and driving tests within 60 days after hire
• Successful completion of a medical-physical examination

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems including filling joints, patching potholes, flagging traffic, and setting up traffic control devices.
• Maintain state highway facilities including repairing signs, cleaning curbs, and painting buildings and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport staff/equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and perform road maintenance tasks.
• May install or repair signs and supports, and assist with bridge/drain work at heights with proper safety.
