Job summary

Holly Hill Maintenance Unit of the South Carolina Department of Transportation operates a tandem dump truck to haul materials and perform maintenance tasks such as paving, drainage work, and pothole repair. Responsibilities

  • Operate a tandem dump truck to haul maintenance and construction materials (concrete pipes, asphalt, dirt, etc.).
  • Perform pre-operation vehicle inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate traffic control devices and flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and work extended hours in inclement weather or emergencies.
