Job summary

Wagoner County is seeking a District 2 General Laborer to support road maintenance and construction tasks under the Road Foreman. The role requires following instructions, operating various tools, and performing tasks with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, patching holes, installing signs, and maintaining equipment. Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must follow instructions and perform tasks as directed by Road Foreman.
• Knowledge of safe use of a variety of tools.
• Ability to lift and carry weights over 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must work safely and wear safety vest/uniform when outside vehicle.
• Must interact courteously with residents and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from Road Foreman to complete tasks.
• Retrieve parts and supplies from vendors as requested by Road Foreman.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and safety flashers are used.
• Operate light to heavy machinery and equipment as required.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Patch holes, dig trenches, and assist with road maintenance duties.
• Build and take down temporary structures and scaffolding as needed.
• Inspect roads daily for missing signs and replace as necessary.
