Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL to support roadway maintenance in the Waco, Texas area. The role requires safe operation of equipment and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Preferred candidates have road maintenance experience and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Clean driving record and criminal background check are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL required with valid driving record and background checks.
• Experience in road/bridge maintenance and related tasks.
• Familiarity with MOT/traffic control requirements.
• Able to operate common construction equipment and power tools.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and follow job site instructions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway maintenance tasks in the Waco, TX area.
• Adhere to applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Operate hand/power tools and light-to-heavy equipment as required.
• Assist with guardrail and sign installation and repair.
• Maintain safety equipment and report hazards.
• Complete daily logs and participate in safety trainings.

Position Summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-timeHighway Maintenance Technician with a CDLto perform maintenance operations in the Waco, Texas area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:

• CDLMust have a valid
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Heavy Equipment experience
• Minimum 2years of related experience
• Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow,ice, and floods.
