Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL license for the Porter, Texas area. The role involves performing roadway maintenance tasks and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL license to perform maintenance operations in the Porter, Texas area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Required Experience

• CDL Must have a valid license
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Heavy Equipment experience
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
  

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required
  

Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
  

Schedule
Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
