Job summary

Central Florida Expressway Authority seeks a Landscape Maintenance Inspector to oversee landscape maintenance quality along 125+ miles of roadway, verify contract compliance, and supervise contractor activities. The role involves on-site inspections, irrigation testing, and coordination with the Landscape Program Manager.

The position requires extensive knowledge of horticultural practices, strong supervisory capabilities, and the ability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

Qualifications

• AA or BS degree in landscape or horticulture.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a landscape related position.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily on-site inspections to verify contractor contract compliance.
• Inspect and test irrigation systems for proper operation.
• Monitor safety procedures as directed by contracts.
• Assist in identifying plant pest activity.
• Compile contractor reports, logs, and schedules.
• Operate a CFx fleet vehicle for on-site inspections.
• Support field takeoffs and installations for plant replacement projects.
• Document landscape construction activities during phase II establishment.
• Create an inventory of landscape improvements within the ROW.
