Job summary

Jack Harper Electrical (JHE) is the Gulf Coast leader in highway electrical contracting, specializing in traffic signals, ITS, and roadway lighting. This role involves operating heavy equipment, performing inspections, and assisting in traffic device installation at various job sites.

Qualifications

• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read gauges and indicators.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities.
• Able to manage time between multiple projects.
• Basic math and tape measure reading required.
• Completion of First Aid/CPR/AED/Flagger when assigned.
• Forklift certification required before operating company forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment used in road, site or highway construction.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards to supervisor.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in installing and maintaining traffic control devices.
• Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment safely.
• Support training of junior staff and ensure PPE is used.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as needed.
