STV Incorporated in Glasgow, KY (with roles in Lexington, Owensboro and Louisville) is seeking a Roadway Engineering Specialist to join our Transportation & Infrastructure team. You will collaborate with engineers to design roadways, prepare drawings, calculations, quantities and bid-ready packages for KYTC/DOT projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT and roadway design experience, with familiarity in MicroStation, Open Roads Designer and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT certification required, KY PE desired.
• Roadway and drainage design experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional design services for transportation projects.
• Develop design plans including horizontal/vertical alignment and cross sections.
• Coordinate with design team to deliver quality work on schedule and budget.
• Work on fast-paced design-build teams and assist with specifications and cost estimates.

The Roadway engineering specialist will collaborate with a team of engineers to perform geometric roadway design, prepare drawings, calculations, quantities, and specifications for transportation projects.There is plenty of growth potential for this position, and there is a variety of projects to work on including bridge replacements, roadway widenings, innovative intersection designs, bicycle/pedestrian improvements, and highway and interchange design. This position requires collaboration with other disciplines including planning, environmental, hydraulics, and structures.
