Job summary

GFT in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern for mid-May through mid-August to gain real-world experience on a dynamic roadway team.

You will assist in creating engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD, perform basic calculations, and participate in field inspections to support project needs.

The internship offers mentorship from experienced engineers and a path to full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Interest or prior internship in roadway/highway engineering.
• Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Support client projects by creating engineering drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD.
• Assist in engineering tasks such as basic calculations and data input into software.
• Participate in field inspections of roadways and highways to support project needs.
• Review drawings, proofreading reports, and provide engineering support.
