GFT is seeking a Roadway Engineering Intern to work with our roadway team in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves creating engineering drawings and performing basic calculations under experienced mentors, with opportunities to transition to full-time roles.

Interns will assist in field inspections, review drawings, and support multiple project phases, contributing to resilient, multimodal transportation solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited undergrad/grad in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.
• Demonstrated interest or prior internship in roadway/highway engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering drawings using CAD tools for client projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
• Participate in field assignments including inspections of roadways/highways.
• Review drawings, proofread reports, and provide engineering support tasks.
