Senior Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead roadway and highway design projects from initial planning through final design and construction support
• Provide day to day leadership to a team of design engineers, including mentoring and technical guidance
• Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout each project
• Oversee design production to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high quality standard
• Direct transportation and highway design efforts, including work for state DOT clients
• Review design plans and provide technical direction to engineering and design staff as needed
• Supervise team performance and support the professional growth of department staff
• Travel within the state periodically for client meetings and project site visits

Job Requirements

Senior Project Manager Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license, North Carolina licensure strongly preferred, but other states with ability to transfer would be considered
• NCDOT experience is required
• 10 or more years of experience managing highway and transportation projects
