Job description

We are currently searching for an experienced Roadway EIT to support our Southwest Region located in Texas.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in Project Plans and reports
  • Assists and prepares project plans using OpenRoads
  • Contributes to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects
  • Prepares and assists in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications
  • Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirements
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Recent college graduates encouraged to apply
  • EIT (E.I) Certification is desired but not required
  • 0 - 4 years of experience
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer is preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
  • Valid driver's license
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
