Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation team in the Kansas City area with 2-4 years of roadway design experience. You will contribute to a diverse range of projects and advance your technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in roadway and/or highway design.
• EI certification preferred.
• Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure encouraged.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Familiarity with roadway design plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation improvement projects.
• Perform engineering analyses and prepare design calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop roadway design plans using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Apply roadway design standards, criteria, and engineering best practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions meeting client objectives.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Support project managers in the preparation of project documentation, technical reports, and deliverables.
• Continue developing technical and professional skills through mentorship and learning opportunities.

In This Position, You Will:
