Job summary

Primary Recruiting Services in Tampa, Florida is seeking a Roadway Engineer or Senior Roadway Engineer to join its transportation team. You will work on design and delivery of roadway projects and collaborate with project managers and agencies.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering degree, 3+ years of roadway/highway design experience, and proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer. EIT/PE is a plus; local DOT familiarity is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years roadway/highway design experience.
• Experience with MicroStation, ORD, or similar design software.
• Familiarity with FDOT or other DOT standards and projects preferred.
• EIT or PE preferred, but not required.
• Strong technical skills and an interest in continued professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway and highway improvements, including widenings, intersections, interchanges, and new roadway alignments.
• Develop roadway plans, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, and construction documents.
• Utilize MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and other engineering design software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and transportation agencies throughout the design process.
• Take on additional technical and project leadership responsibilities based on your experience.
