Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Task Leader to support and lead the technical delivery of highway design projects throughout New England. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Transportation or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required or eligible.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in highway design or transportation projects.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of highway design tasks from concept through PS&E.
• Develop and review roadway alignments, design criteria, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide day-to-day technical oversight to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
• Mentor and review work performed by junior engineers; provide technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Technical Leaders on complex DOT projects.
• Review designs for compliance with federal, state and local standards; sign and seal documents as required.
• Perform site reviews and field studies to support constructible, real-world design solutions.
• Support proposal and task order efforts, including scope development and technical review.
