Role Description

As Roadway Design/Staging Lead, you will independently develop design schedules, manhour estimates, workplans, and technical work assignments for a growing team of roadway engineers. Responsibilities also include personally developing designs, construction plan packages, supporting calculations, and engineering reports for transportation infrastructure projects. Interested candidates should be hands-on roadway and staging design engineers, capable of independently developing design and 3D models as well as supervising and directing the work of others. You will also serve as Engineer of Record, complete QA/QC reviews, and supervise junior engineers as appropriate.

This position is based primarily in person in our Peachtree Corners, GA office, as working together in the office fosters innovation, supports professional growth, and enables us to deliver better results for our clients. However, flexibility and hybrid work arrangements are available to support individual needs and can be explored during the interview process.

Requirements

· Roadway Design and Modeling expertise using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (required)

· Construction staging design expertise (required)

· Ability to produce construction plan drawings, author technical reports, and complete design calculations

· Ability to develop engineer's quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates

· Experience designing GDOT projects and familiarity with the GDOT PDP (desired)

· Knowledge of AASHTO design policies

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

· 4-year Civil Engineering (or related) degree

· Professional Engineering (PE) license (required)

· Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
