What You’ll Do

• Support roadway design efforts for FDOT, county, and municipal transportation projects across Florida.
• Prepare and assist in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway and highway improvements.
• Perform roadway design tasks such as alignments, cross sections, and roadway components using Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teammates and sub‑consultants to ensure cohesive project deliverables.
• Contribute to QA/QC processes to support high‑quality engineering output.
• Ensure design work complies with applicable standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of professional experience in roadway or highway design.
• Experience working on FDOT, county, or municipal transportation projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain a PE license.
• Familiarity with FDOT standards, processes, and production workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Experience in horizontal and vertical alignment design and development of roadway construction plan components.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 to $155,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
