Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead highway and bridge design initiatives, guiding multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex roadway solutions with FDOT standards in mind.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with a Florida P.E. license and substantial post‑graduate experience in transportation, FDOT collaboration, and project delivery from concept through construction. The role supports a hybrid work model and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Current Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with the ability to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR).
  • Significant post‑graduate experience in transportation and highway engineering, including leading and managing roadway design projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), particularly within Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and/or 7, as well as on Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and successfully deliver complex roadway projects in compliance with FDOT standards, requirements, and schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT project development processes, design criteria, and roadway design standards across multiple districts.
  • Track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with FDOT personnel, clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $225,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
