Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join our transportation team in Charleston, SC or Columbia, SC. The role involves developing design plans for transportation projects and coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver quality work.

The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of transportation infrastructure experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering, with EIT/EI preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of transportation infrastructure experience with a BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• EIT or EI certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and ORD is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of design plans for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and drafters.
• Perform engineering calculations and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with design team to deliver projects on schedule.
• Learn from senior project engineers or project managers.
