Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Roadway Designer IV to design and produce contract plans for highway projects in District Five. You will develop contract plans using CADD, coordinate roadway design components, and perform engineering calculations while guiding design teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of highway design concepts, CADD standards, and the ability to apply quantitative techniques.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway design concepts and CADD tools.
• Interpretation of roadway design standards and specifications.
• Ability to apply engineering quantitative techniques in highway design.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience with project engineering and scheduling.
• Ability to communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
