Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of transportation civil engineering experience, roadway design.
• Familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; knowledge of VDOT standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for roadway widening and improvement projects.
• Develop 3D models and plans using Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Create visualizations for client and public presentations using 3D software.
• Prepare detailed plan sheets and complete project submission packages.
• Perform roadway and drainage calculations using engineering software and references.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Research and utilize open-source GIS data for project planning.
• Conduct field observations and data collection to support design discussions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities.
• Participate in client and contractor meetings to support project delivery.
