Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE track preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in roadway or highway design, ideally with PennDOT or municipal transportation projects.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, ORD, or Civil 3D for roadway design and plan production.
• Familiarity with PennDOT design standards, publications, and ECMS workflows is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Aufgaben

• Support the design and development of roadway and highway improvement projects, including alignments, profiles, cross sections, and corridor modeling.
• Prepare and update PS&E plan sets, including roadway, grading, drainage, signing and pavement marking, and traffic control sheets.
• Perform design calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates in accordance with PennDOT and local agency standards.
• Assist with hydrologic/hydraulic coordination, utility conflict analysis, and constructability reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
• Conduct field reviews to validate existing conditions and support design assumptions.
• Contribute to QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with applicable design manuals and standards.
• Support proposal development, technical memos, and project documentation as needed.
