Job summary

Egis in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer (EIT) to join a team delivering transportation projects for DOT and municipal clients. The role focuses on roadway design, reports, and contract documents, with opportunities to lead design tasks and grow within a global engineering leader.

You will work closely with a team of roadway engineers, contributing to pre-design and design phases, ensuring quality documentation, and managing project schedules and scope to meet client

Qualifications

• BSCE is required.
• PE license required or ability to obtain KS PE within 6 months of hire.
• 4+ years of roadway design experience on DOT or municipal projects.
• Experience with highway geometrics, intersection design and quantity estimation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee roadway design and prepare contract documents (PS&E) per state and local requirements.
• Collaborate with roadway engineers on pre-design and design phases for transportation projects.
• Manage and maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets and scope.
