Job summary

Egis in the U.S. is seeking a licensed Roadway Engineer in Kentucky to design roadways and drainage for DOT projects. Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license is preferred.
• KY resident highly preferred; hybrid in-office work option.
• 5+ years of demonstrated roadway design and plan preparation experience for DOT projects.
• KYTC experience is preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation is required; OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Drainage, stormwater and erosion control design experience is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Traffic modeling, roundabout design, drainage design and highway lighting design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design roadways and drainage for KYTC or other DOT clients, including geometric design and contract documents.
• Collaborate with a team of roadway engineers to prepare design and contract documents for transportation projects.
• Manage and maintain project documentation, schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Coordinate with Lochner offices across the firm for timely, within-budget project delivery.
