Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to support the growth of its Transportation Engineering practice. You will participate in roadway design from layout to cost estimates on local, county, and state projects.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT, and 5–10 years’ roadways experience; ADOT project exposure and Proficiency in Bentley/MicroStation or OpenRoads are a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• 5-10 years’ experience in the design of roadways preferred.
• EIT required, ability to obtain PE.
• ADOT project experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of roadway drafting and design software such as Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Ability to design and produce various PS&E in a team setting.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design of roadway improvements and new construction from start to finish.
• Prepare layout, calculations, construction plan production, bid quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform geometric studies, reporting, and drainage design.
• Collaborate with team to grow the transportation engineering practice.
