Job summary

The successful candidate will have an associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent, plus experience with Excel and Word, and a valid driver's license. This is an employee-owned company offering ESOP, 401K, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous transportation related infrastructure construction observation experience.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation of transportation/WisDOT infrastructure projects.
• Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for transportation road and utility projects.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications and ensure conformity with project construction contract requirements.
• Maintain client relations while in the field.
• Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.
