Job summary
Notre Dame in Miami offers an internship in Roads & Highways Engineering to provide administrative and operations support to staff and assist with roadway plan production.
You will collaborate with engineers, perform simple drafting and CAD/ORD tasks, and help compile design data for construction plans.
The program includes mentorship, hands-on industry experience, and development activities such as site visits and weekly Lunch & Learns.
Qualifications
- No experience required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- Must be a Junior pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff
- Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks
- Perform simple drafting and CAD/ORD assignments following detailed instructions
- Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans
