Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Orange, CA seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of experience to join the Roadway team. This role is not remote and offers mentorship and formal training.

Qualified candidates hold an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and an EIT or intern certification (or the ability to obtain within 12 months). Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil engineering experience with a design firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet client deadlines and manage details precisely.

Responsibilities

• Support roadway design tasks for various project managers.
• Work on horizontal/vertical alignments, grading, drainage, and streetscape improvements.
• Contribute to multimodal design including trails and complete streets.
• Prepare signage, striping and signalization plans; participate in plan production.
