Job summary

Kimley-Horn’s Rogers, Arkansas office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Roadway team. You will support project managers with various civil engineering tasks, including horizontal/vertical alignments, grading and drainage design, and multimodal design such as trails and complete streets.

You will receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions while contributing to signaling

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in civil engineering design
• ABET accredited Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering
• EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Working knowledge of MicroStation/InRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented with ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Responsibilities

• Support various project managers with civil engineering tasks.
• Perform horizontal and vertical alignments, grading and drainage design
• Contribute to streetscape and roadway improvements, multimodal design including trails and complete streets
• Assist with signage, striping and signalization plans
• Engage in plan production, project financials, and client interactions
