Job summary

American Structurepoint in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a CAD Technician to create clear, well-annotated utility drawings and schedules per standards. You will translate markups and design intent with engineers, maintain drawing sets, and support content creation.

The role requires a drafting or CAD-focused degree or certificate, experience with AutoCAD, and familiarity with MicroStation/Geopak. INDOT experience and multi-project prioritization are valued, with a team that emphasizes mentorship

Qualifications

Degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD, Civil/Architecture, or related discipline.
INDOT experience preferred.
At least 2 years of relative experience.
Experience with Microstation/Geopak preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/GIS is a plus.
Strong prioritization skills in multi-project environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare clear, well-annotated utility drawings, details, and schedules per standards.
Coordinate with engineers to translate markups and design intent into production drawings.
Maintain drawing sets, files, and references; perform routine audits for quality and consistency.
Support content creation (blocks, styles, details) and sheet set organization.
Assist project managers with documentation workflows and deliverable coordination.
Perform other duties as assigned.
