Job summary

A construction inspection company is seeking Asphalt Field Inspectors for NYCDOT projects in New York City. Candidates must hold NICET Level I and II certifications. The role involves field inspections, quality control, and nuclear density testing. This is an excellent opportunity for those experienced in asphalt inspections and construction materials testing. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with various shifts across the 5 Boroughs of NYC.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in asphalt inspection and roadway inspection is ideal.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for equipment transport.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform asphalt paving inspection in accordance with NYCDOT requirements.
• Conduct nuclear density testing and verify asphalt compaction.
• Prepare accurate field inspection reports and daily logs.

Skills

NICET Asphalt Certification – Level I and Level II

Experience in asphalt field inspection

Strong knowledge of NYCDOT specifications

Experience operating a Nuclear Density Gauge

Education

Engineering Degree (Civil Engineering or related field preferred)
