Starting Pay:$23 hourly

Interview & Training Location: 295 Union St East Walpole MA - 1 Hour Paid Travel Time Per Day For Duration of Training Period

The starting pay for this position is $23.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Selected candidates may be eligible for a number of benefits, including: medical, prescription, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, tuition assistance, sick and vacation time, as well as tire discounts.

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence:“An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets”. To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.

Experience isn't required for thisposition. You will be trained in any skills required

Shift Information:There is amandatoryon-call rotation. During a Technicians' on-call period, they are expected to run after-hours service callsat a 95% Accept rate, which includes weekends and nights.Time worked inafter-hours service calls are paid indouble-timewith a minimum of 2 hours per call!! An example being if a Technicians accepts, arrives, and completes a call in45minthey will receive anadditional 1 hr. 15 minof double time*** pay.

Basic Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

  • Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
  • Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including; how wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety policies and procedures.
