Role Overview

The Roadside Technician is an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire failure, the technician is dispatched to repair or replace the tire at the customer's location, often roadside. When not on service calls, technicians assist with mounting orders, cleaning, organizing the shop, and other duties.

Training & Experience

No experience is required; training will be provided for all necessary skills.

Shift & Compensation

Mandatory on-call rotation, including weekends and nights. During on-call, technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service calls with a 95% acceptance rate. Calls are paid double-time, with a minimum of 2 hours pay per call. For example, completing a 45-minute call earns an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of double-time pay.

Basic Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license meeting commercial qualification standards
  • At least 21 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous commercial tire service experience
Skills & Learning Opportunities

Servicing commercial tires, including dismounting, mounting, and repairing various tires. Performing match mounting, dual assembly, radial runout, inflating to prescribed PSI, and complying with OSHA safety regulations.
