Job summary

Goodyear is seeking a Roadside Technician in Birmingham, AL to respond to emergency tire service requests for semi-truck fleets. No experience required; you will be trained on all required skills.

This role includes an on-call rotation with after-hours calls paid at a premium. Selected candidates receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k), plus paid time off and tire discounts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including PPE and tire cages.

Job description

Starting pay $24.75/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: "An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets".

Experience isn't required for thisposition. You will be trained in any skills required.

Shift Information

This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation. During an assigned on-call period, Technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service requests—including evenings and weekends with a high rate of acceptance.

All after-hours service calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.
