Starting Pay: $21 per hour

Location: 8881 Samuel Barton Dr, Van Buren Township, MI

Base pay may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Selected candidates may be eligible for benefits including medical, prescription, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, tuition assistance, sick and vacation time, and tire discounts.

The Roadside Technician role involves responding to tire-related failures for semi-truck fleets. Technicians are dispatched to customer locations to repair or change tires, often roadside. When not on service calls, responsibilities include mounting orders, cleaning, organizing the shop, and other duties as needed.

No experience required. Training provided for all necessary skills.

Shift Information: Mandatory on-call rotation. During on-call periods, technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service calls with a 95% acceptance rate. After-hours calls are paid double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call. For example, accepting, arriving, and completing a call in 45 minutes earns an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of double-time pay.

Basic requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous commercial service tire experience.

Skills you will learn:

  • Servicing commercial tires: dismounting, mounting, repairing.
  • Match mounting, dual assemblies, and radial runout.
  • Inflating tires to prescribed PSI.
  • Following OSHA safety regulations and policies.
