Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks a Safety Service and Motorist Assistance Patroller Supervisor to lead a team of patrollers on the Dulles Toll Road. You will establish procedures, plan operations, and supervise employees while coordinating with the Police Department’s Office of Public Safety at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Responsibilities include training, performance reviews, incident response, and providing emergency roadside assistance.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience in work zone safety, motorist assistance/safety, or traffic operations.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to manage the operations and programs of the unit/team.
• Knowledge of basic automobile mechanics to support motorist assistance and provide emergency roadside fixes.
• Ability to provide effective customer service and assistance, particularly in distress or emergencies.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain self-control during peak periods, incidents, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, revises, and ensures adherence to procedures for SSP operations.
• Plans operations and work assignments.
• Assists in subordinate personnel selection.
• Observes and evaluates subordinate performance and equipment maintenance.
• Oversees the training of employees.
• Performs supervisory duties such as approving time and attendance, recommending awards, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
