Job summary

State-of-West-Virgini operates a statewide ITS & Lighting crew, maintaining highway technology from expressway lighting to Dynamic Message Signs and CCTV systems. The role is hands-on, involving aerial work and on-site servicing across the state.

Ideal candidates have a foundation in electronics, are willing to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within four months, and meet the listed education/experience requirements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in electronics/electrical repair or land mobile radio/microwave equipment repair.
• Substitution options include vocational program, journeyman license, or Associate’s degree in electronics/electrical engineering technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service highway ITS equipment and lighting across the state.
• Perform aerial work and inspections as needed at heights.
• Pursue CDL within 4 months of joining to support statewide operations.
