The position involves training others, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating across departments on projects. Knowledge of ArcGIS, SQL databases, and data visualization is required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining a GIS database with spatial analysis and data extraction.
• Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions (deeds, annexations, land surveys).
• Experience creating GIS relational databases using ArcGIS/MapInfo/SQL and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to internal and external customers.
• Analyzes GIS data for urban planning, infrastructure development, and public health.
• Verifies accuracy and completeness of geospatial and tabular data records.
• Creates and maintains GIS databases and updates tabular/geospatial data.
• Produces and distributes data layers, maps, and reports with GIS tools.
• Engages in professional development and awareness of field developments.
• Participates in cross-department projects and communicates progress.
