Job summary

AtkinsRéalis's Denver, CO office is seeking a Roads & Highways Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This role involves supporting staff, collaborating on roadway plan production, and performing drafting tasks under detailed guidance.

Ideal candidates have completed at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree by Summer 2026 and are proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer is preferred.

Qualifications

• No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff.
• Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks.
• Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions.
• Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans.
