Job summary

Via in Mountain View is seeking a Road Supervisor to oversee driver performance, train drivers, support riders, de-escalate conflicts, and manage incidents when they occur. You may also drive when needed, lead by example, and ensure excellent customer service for riders.

This is a full-time, in-person, shift-based role with about 40–45 hours per week (8–9 hour shifts) based at our Mountain View location. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in transportation services with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CDL with Passenger Endorsement and medical certificate required.
• Age 25 or older and clean driving record per company/insurance standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular driver performance evaluations and coaching.
• Develop and implement driver training programs.
• Handle customer service issues and resolve complaints.
• Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and propose solutions.
• Go to the scene of accidents/incidents to manage processes and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to scale operations.
• Safely operate lift-equipped vehicles for elderly/disabled riders.
• Learn Via operations and safety procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections.
