Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development seeks a Highway Foreman 2 for District Striping Unit 776 in Hammond. Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds.
• Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of electronically controlled locks or industrial or heavy mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, assigns, and supervises the daily activities of the striping crew engaged in marking centerlines, edges, and No Passing stripes.
• Ensure training for operators to use specialized equipment; conduct performance evaluations at year end.
• Collects and maintains reflectivity/condition data for the striping database and schedules supplies, equipment, and manpower on daily work reports.
• Ensure compliance with MUTCD and Department specifications.
• Assign crew members to assist the sign shop with road closures and sign installations.
