Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. in Irving, TX seeks an entry-level Road Staff Engineer to support roadway projects for TXDOT, cities, and counties.

You will gain hands-on experience with quantity takeoffs, construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and cost estimates under supervision. You will work primarily in-office with occasional site visits, collaborating with a close-knit team to deliver safe, efficient transportation solutions while developing your engineering

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, such as internships, co-ops, academic projects, or entry-level engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design and layout of roadway alignments (horizontal and vertical) for transportation projects.
• Involve in roadway design aspects: geometry, drainage, signage, pavement markings and maintenance of traffic.
• Help develop construction plan sets for bidding and construction.
• Perform quantity calculations to support bid plans and cost estimates.
• Explore pavement analysis, design and utility coordination.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Structurepoint's Road Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer in North Texas! In this role you'll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for TXDOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Indiana. Most of your work will take place in the office, with occasional site visits, as you assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions, rural maintenance, and roundabouts, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation projects.
