Job summary

Bobcat - GDN in Springfield, IL is seeking a Road Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Bobcat equipment in the field and on site. You will support customers, perform preventative maintenance, and service major systems with a can-do attitude to exceed expectations.

This full-time role offers a $35.00-$40.00 per hour DOE, Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm, with opportunities to grow technical skills and advance within the service team.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License is required.
• 2+ years' experience in heavy equipment service operations (skid steers, excavators, etc).
• Strong mechanical background with diagnostics, diesel, hydraulics, and electrical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair major systems on Bobcat equipment.
• Perform system rebuilds and overhauls; welding as needed.
• Collaborate with Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental teams.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

We are currently searching for a Road Service Technician to join our team. Our Service Technicians play a key role in our customer relations and service representation. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping our customers with a can-do attitude exceeding our customer's expectations.

$35.00-$40.00 DOE

Monday -Friday (7am-5pm)

Essential Functions :

• Conducting daily equipment and preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnosing and repairing all major systems on compact equipment, with emphasis on the Bobcat line
• Performing system rebuilds and overhauls
• Welding
• Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
• Performing any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• CDL Class A License
• 2+ years' experience in heavy and or equipment service operations – skid steers, excavators, e tc .
• Strong mechanical background including excellent skills in diagnostics , diesel mechanics, hydraulics , electrical .
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects , computer skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions as this position works indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to effectively communicate with customers.
• This position is highly active , requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day .
• Employees will frequently lift and/or move items over 50lbs.
• Specific vision requirements required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
