Job summary

Power Corporation of America/Southeast Power Corporation is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks and heavy equipment on the road, with primary travel across Florida. You will interpret work orders, replace defective parts, and test equipment to meet manufacturer specs and FMCSA regulations.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of diesel/hydraulic experience, own tools, a valid driver's license, and a willingness

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for repairs and required preventive maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, trucks and/or other heavy equipment
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
• Regular attendance is required
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform maintenance on equipment required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company and any other Federal, State or Local regulations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must have valid drivers license
• Must have acceptable MVR
• Must have 3-5 years experience in diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Must be willing to travel
• Must have own tools
• Physical activities include: walking, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing, Etc.
• Must work in a neat, orderly and safe manner
• Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine systems diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
