Whitfield County, GA is seeking a dedicated worker to support Public Works traffic control and roadway maintenance. The role includes flagging traffic, setting up safety devices, and assisting with drainage and road repairs on county rights-of-way.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, flagging training, and a valid Georgia driver’s license. duties require adherence to safety guidelines and clear communication with crews and the public.
The purpose of this classification is to perform manual work associated with projects within the Public Works Department. This job will primarily consist of flagging traffic and assisting with traffic control functions during construction or maintenance that takes place along or within the right away of county roads.

High school diploma or GED; training in flagging traffic; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
