Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school, or GED.
- Technical school training in gas and diesel engines.
- Combined education and experience must equal 3 years or more.
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Installs, assembles, tests, adjusts, maintains and repairs machines or mechanical apparatus and equipment.
- Oils, cleans, maintains and performs repair work on gas and diesel engines and electric motors.
- Troubleshoots hydraulic and electrical problems, repairs tires.
- Uses diagnostic software and hardware to test, repair, and program equipment.
- Documents daily work in shop systems and keeps records up to date.
