Join our team as a Road Construction Laborer with CDL Class A or B at Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC.

About the Role

We are seeking skilled Equipment Operators and CDL drivers for nationwide travel. This full-time position involves operating equipment on highways across the U.S., ensuring safety and efficiency in rumble strip installations to improve road safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate CDL equipment nationwide on local, state, and interstate highways.
  2. Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle and equipment inspections.
  3. Communicate effectively with team members and coordinate daily operations.
  4. Work independently with minimal supervision after training.
  5. Interact with inspectors, engineers, and DOT personnel as needed.
  6. Prioritize safety by following protocols and wearing PPE.
  7. Assist with equipment maintenance and upkeep.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with an acceptable driving record.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to maintain equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices for heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 60+ pounds and work long shifts (8-14 hours).
  • Willingness to travel extensively with overnight stays.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
