Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a Laborer in the Madison, WI area to support road construction projects, including concrete demolition and repair, equipment maintenance, and site cleanup. The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends, and union membership is encouraged or may be pursued after hire.

Qualified candidates typically have 3–5 years of road construction laborer experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferred Class A CDL. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Class A CDL strongly desired.
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
• Union membership required or willingness to join.

Responsibilities

• Assist in layout and construction of roads and related structures.
• Demonstrate and operate concrete equipment as needed.
• Keep machines and equipment maintained; assist in site cleanup.
• Follow Foreman or management guidance and safety policies.
• Work in varied weather conditions and dirty environments.
