Job summary

Aleut Federal seeks an Equipment Operator in Alaska to perform a variety of heavy equipment operations on deactivation, demolition, remediation, and construction projects under general supervision.

Position requires a valid state driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and willingness for standby, overtime, and overnight travel as needed. Work involves outdoor conditions and safety-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 2–5 years equipment operator experience.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety.
• Ability to read plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, shears, grapples, skidsteers, loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and light repairs on equipment.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and laying pipe; use air tools and jackhammers.
• Train less skilled employees in operation and care of equipment.
