Jefferson County is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the Road and Bridge Division, ensuring safe, reliable maintenance of transportation infrastructure. The manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for roadways, sidewalks, stormwater, and related programs, directing supervisors and teams, and managing budgets.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in road construction, roadway maintenance, public works, transportation operations, or related field.
• Three (3) years supervisory or management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for the Road and Bridge Division and implement plans to meet priorities.
• Oversee daily operations and maintenance for roads, sidewalks, stormwater, drainage, street sweeping, landscaping, fleet and facilities.
• Lead and develop supervisory staff with performance evaluations, hiring, training, and accountability.
• Standardize processes and advise on safety and regulatory requirements for projects and maintenance.
• Develop and manage the division budget, monitor expenditures, contracts, and project needs.
• Build partnerships with contractors, engineers, developers, and public agencies to coordinate projects.
• Respond to emergencies including snow/ice operations and be available 24/7 when called.

Formação académica

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field
